Preschooler Lessons
How do you teach the piano to preschoolers!? ...
... Through 30 Minutes of Fun!
Preschooler lessons are always 30 minutes - and full of fun, movement and laughter.
Whilst we do spend time every lesson sitting at the piano and exploring it's delights, we take a less traditional lesson approach and utilise more 'off the bench' activities to keep your little one enthusiastic and engaged.
Jenn is a qualified teacher with many years experience, and therefore is very familiar with the National Curriculum and EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Whilst it may look like organised chaos to the outside onlooker, the preschooler lessons are designed to build your child's skills in an 'age and stage' appropriate way, building on previous skills that will help your preschooler one day become a competent, Grade 8 pianist!
Preschooler lessons are open to children from as young as 2.5 years old and are mainly taught during the weekday 09:00 - 14:30 sessions.
We build fine and gross motor skills...
...by playing a range of rhythm and movement games and activities.

We learn the notes on the piano...
...by using engaging activities designed to build memory and enthusiasm.
We learn to read basic music notation...
...by diving into the ball pool, building a notation train and playing snap.

We build listening and aural skills...
...by singing together, exploring dynamics, and playing rhythm bingo.
We learn musical concepts...
...by reading stories, exploring fun worksheets, and letting loose on brightly coloured percussion instruments.

We learn the lingo...
...by starting to learn our Italian musical vocabulary from the very beginning, so that it becomes second nature to our preschoolers!
